The purpose of this scope and sequence is to create clarity and transparency about the school’s expectations and practices related to the progression of the IB's Approaches to Learning skills from grade 6 to 10 (MYP year 1 to 5) in our school.

IB programmes identify five ATL skill categories, expanded into developmentally appropriate skill clusters. Prior to the Enhanced PYP empathy was an "PYP Attitude" attribute. In the Enhanced PYP, it has been subsumed into the Learner Profile under "Caring".
